We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order.

The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.


We request information from you on our order form. To buy from us, you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we’ll use this information to contact you.

Refund Policy (for Goods)

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can either return your order for a full refund or exchange it for something else. You can return or exchange your purchase for up to 120 days from the purchase date. Returned or exchanged products must be in the condition you received them and in the original box and/or packaging.

Event Cancellation Policy

 EVENT refers to any activity (Seminar, Tournament, Specialty Class, Special Event, Private Lesson, etc.) other than regular monthly tuition and testing fees.

You may cancel an EVENT up to 24 hours prior to the event and receive a 100% credit good towards another EVENT. If you cancel an EVENT with less than 24 hours notice, a credit of 50% will be issued good towards another EVENT.  There is no expiration date on event credits. If you do not cancel and do not show up to the EVENT,  no credit will be issued. To cancel an event, notify us by email at: email@uama.com.

Monthly Tuition Policy

Tuition at the United Academy is charged monthly. The United Academy Student Calendar is based on 12 – four week testing cycles (48 weeks per year). A year has 52 weeks, but we don’t charge you for the extra four weeks. Instead, we close for a week in February (President’s Week), a week in late March or April (Spring Break) and for two weeks in December. These days do not need to be “made up” because you are not charged for them and they are not calculated into the testing cycles.

Please note that there are some other Holidays (Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, etc.) that may fall on your class day. If this occurs, please make up your class when convenient.
